India exported $2.43 billion price of smartphones in April-May this fiscal, pushed by a multifold bounce in shipments to the U.S. which emerged because the biggest destination for India-made gadgets, in response to authorities data.

After the announcement of the Product Linked Incentives (PLI) scheme and the entry of US-based iPhone maker Apple into home manufacturing, India is rising as a significant manufacturing hub for smartphones.
For diamonds additionally, the US is probably the most dominant market for India with $1.3 billion through the two months, although the expansion declined by about 23%.
For manufacturing digital items for exports and assembly home demand, India imported $1.85 billion price of monolithic built-in circuits of which $597.89 million got here from China.
