Maruti, Hyundai record single-digit sales growth in July


Maruti Suzuki India and Hyundai reported single-digit sales growth in July, with the SUV section persevering with to drive general demand in the market.

Maruti Suzuki’s complete home passenger car sales stood at 1,52,126 models final month as in contrast with 1,42,850 models in the year-earlier month, a growth of 6%. Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) reported its best-ever month-to-month sales in July at 21,911 models. Last month, the corporate’s home wholesales stood at 20,759 models, whereas exports accounted for 1,152 models.

TKM beforehand posted its greatest month-to-month wholesales in May 2023 by promoting 20,410 models.

MG Motor stated its retail sales grew by 25% to five,012 models in July. The firm had offered 4,013 models in July 2022.

The automaker stated EV sales accounted for 34% of the entire sales final month.

In the two-wheeler section, Bajaj Auto reported a 2% drop in home sales in July at 1,79,263 models from 1,82,956 models in July 2022.

Suzuki Motorcycle India stated it offered 80,309 models in the home market in July.

Royal Enfield reported a 42% improve in home sales at 66,062 models final month as in opposition to 46,529 models in July 2022.

“We’ve begun the second quarter on a strong note, after stellar performance in the first quarter of this year. We are preparing for some big launches in the forthcoming months, and continue to focus on our strategic long term goals,” Royal Enfield CEO B. Govindarajan stated.
