UP govt signs MoU with clean energy solutions provider Servotech to set up EV charger manufacturing plant

In a significant push to encourage folks to undertake electrical autos, EV charger producer Servotech Power Systems has signed a MoU with Uttar Pradesh to set up an electrical car charger manufacturing plant alongside with backward integration.

The plant can be set up below the Uttar Pradesh  Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and Mobility Policy 2022.

As per the MoU, Servotech will make investments practically Rs 300 crore for the challenge in phases and can create employment for over 500 folks.

The manufacturing plant can be partially operational within the first quarter of 2025 and could have a capability to manufacture 10,000 EV DC Fast chargers per 12 months. The chargers can be manufactured for each home and export markets.

The Uttar Pradesh authorities is engaged on facilitating the enlargement plans in EV manufacturing, handle, challenges tied to establishing a sturdy charging infrastructure and foster mutually useful partnerships. 

“Uttar Pradesh contains the large potential to turn into the manufacturing hub of Electric Vehicles, chargers and batteries. This alternative has offered golden likelihood to set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant that can assist to construct an outstanding ecosystem for EV charging and actively contribute to a clean and inexperienced setting,” Raman Bhatia, MD, Servotech, stated. 

“This MoU is a major step towards our goal of making Uttar Pradesh a leading EV manufacturing hub in India. We are confident that this plant will create a significant number of jobs and boost the state’s economy,” IAS Prathamesh Kumar, Special Secretary to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, stated.

The Yogi authorities in Uttar Pradesh in the previous few years has taken a number of initiatives to assist Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to develop whereas contributing to the state’s and the nation’s financial system.

Besides offering infrastructure for EV charging, the Delhi-based clean energy solutions provider can also be engaged in manufacturing of photo voltaic merchandise, together with lithium batteries and Inverters.
