Australia off-spinner Nathan Lyon has shared a picture of an autographed jersey on Instagram, gifted to him by the Indian cricket team. After India’s historic victory at Brisbane’s Gabba, stand-in captain Ajinkya Rahane gifted a signed jersey to Nathan Lyon for completing 100 Tests for Australian cricket team. For Australia, Lyon is the 13th player to achieve this feat. The legendary spinner has now thanked Rahane and the Indian team for this beautiful gesture.

The recently-concluded India vs Australia Test series didn’t turn out to be good for Nathan Lyon. The veteran off-spinner managed to pick just 9 wickets in the four-match Test series against India.
Nathan Lyon has taken 399 wickets in his Test career. He is the third bowler to take the highest wickets for Australia after Shane Warne (708) and Glenn McGrath (563). Lyon has been included in the Australian team for the Test series against South Africa. In this series, he will become the 16th bowler in the world to take 400 or more wickets.

The 33-year-old, in 100 Test matches, has taken five-wicket hall 18 times. He has picked 29 wickets in 29 ODIs for Australia.
India defeated Australia by 3 wickets in the fourth and final Test match played at Brisbane’s Gabba to clinch the series 2-1. In Brisbane Test match, Australia gave Lyon the Guard of Honor while the Indian team gifted him a signed jersey.
