COVID-19: Schools forced to shut again in Gujarat’s eight cities from THIS date

Gandhinagar: Amid a surge in COVID-19 instances, Gujarat on Thursday (March 18, 2021) introduced that every one faculties in eight main cities of the state have suspended lessons from March 19 to cease unfold of the coronavirus. 

All lessons which had been being held in college premises in – Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Vadodara, Surat, Bhavnagar, Gandhinagar, Jamnagar and Junagadh will no longer be held until April 10, as per a PTI report.

According to a press release launched by the federal government, the choice was taken by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani throughout a high-level assembly held on Thursday with Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama and Chief Secretary Anil Mukim.

All major, secondary and higher-secondary faculties in eight main cities is not going to present offline schooling at their premises between March 19 and April 10, stated the discharge, including the instructing by way of on-line mode will proceed.

Presently, college students from Classes 6 to 12 have been given the choice of attending on-line lessons or going to their respective faculties for it. While major faculties from Classes 1 to 5 had been offering schooling by way of on-line mode solely.

Schools located in areas aside from these eight cities will proceed to impart offline schooling at their premises for the scholars who’ve opted to bodily attend the lessons, Chudasama stated.

The minister stated that these selections will probably be relevant to all the federal government in addition to personal universities.
