Highest national flag in India: Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari immediately (October 19) inaugurated the highest national flag of 418 feet tall on the Attari-Wagah border in Amritsar. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was additionally current with him throughout the occasion.

While chatting with the media, Nitin Gadkari mentioned, “It is the golden day of my life. I have come to the Attari-Wagah border for the first time. NHAI has installed the tallest national flag here. This is a place that inspires you to be patriotic.”

“I have done a lot of things in life- tunnels, bridges but this is the most amazing. I am delighted and I thank the jawans who are guarding our borders”, Gadkari added. 

Earlier, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari mentioned that the federal government is dedicated to fostering public, personal partnership to drive additional development within the inland water transport sector. 

Addressing the third version of the Global Maritime India Summit by way of video convention, Gadkari mentioned a number of national waterways are proposed below the public-private partnership (PPP) mode. The three-day mega maritime occasion commenced on Tuesday.

The Minister for Road Transport and Highways mentioned, “The development of waterways is very important for the development of Bharat.” “We are committed to fostering public-private partnership (PPP) to drive further growth in the inland water transport sector. Several national waterways are proposed under PPP modes.”

“Another major initiative, which has been taken by the government is the Sagarmala project with port modernisation and new port development, port connectivity investment, port-led industrialisation and coastal community development as its four pillars,” Gadkari mentioned.
