FOXBOROUGH, Mass.: The New England Patriots have enlisted the former director of Germany’s nationwide soccer groups to assist them develop their fan base and enterprise connections in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Oliver Bierhoff will function a enterprise adviser for the NFL crew, which has industrial rights in the area as a part of the NFL’s “global markets” program.
The Patriots will play the Indianapolis Colts in Frankfurt on Nov. 12 in the second of two video games the NFL is staging in Germany this season.
The crew mentioned Thursday that Bierhoff will advise on advertising and marketing, branding and enterprise growth.
Last December, Bierhoff resigned as managing director of the nation’s nationwide soccer groups and academy after Germany’s early exit from the lads’s World Cup. He had a administration function with the German federation for 18 years.
