Ola Founder Bhavish Aggarwal says it is our second to go all in and construct in 1 era what different nations have constructed over many generations
Supporting Infosys founder N R Narayana Murthy’s comment that children ought to work 70 hours every week, cab aggregator Ola’s founder Bhavish Aggarwal has agreed with Murthy’s views and mentioned “it’s not our moment to work less and entertain ourselves”.
In a podcast, Murthy in dialog with former Infosys CFO Mohandas Pai on Thursday mentioned that for India to compete with economies which have made great progress prior to now 2-3 many years, children have to work 70 hours every week.
Responding to this, Aggarwal in a put up on X mentioned, “Totally agree with Mr Murthy’s views. It’s not our moment to work less and entertain ourselves. Rather it’s our moment to go all in and build in 1 generation what other countries have built over many generations!”
Murthy appeared on the primary episode of 3one4 Capital’s podcast ‘The Record’, which was launched on YouTube on Thursday.
He mentioned India’s work productiveness is among the many lowest globally, and the nation’s youth have to put in additional hours of labor — like Japan and Germany did after World War 2 — with a purpose to compete with nations like China.
“India’s work productivity is one of the lowest in the world. Unless we improve our work productivity, unless we reduce corruption in the government at some level, because we have been reading I don’t know the truth of it, unless we reduce the delays in our bureaucracy in taking this decision, we will not be able to compete with those countries that have made tremendous progress,” he mentioned.
He mentioned the nation’s youth should say that ‘this is my country. I would like to work 70 hours a week’.
