Coca-Cola India has entered the prepared-to-drink tea drinks phase with the launch of ‘Honest Tea’. For this, the corporate has partnered with Luxmi Group’s iconic Darjeeling tea property, Makaibari, for prepared-to-drink iced inexperienced tea.
The model ‘Honest Tea’ is owned by Honest, a subsidiary of the Coca-Cola Company. It is available in two flavours — lemon-tulsi and mango.
The bottled iced inexperienced tea was formally launched on the second and concluding of the Bengal Global Business Summit 2023, on November 22.
A PTI report, quoting firm officers, stated the natural inexperienced tea for the product can be sourced from Kolkata-based Luxmi Tea Co Private Ltd’s Makaibari Tea Estate. An MoU on this regard was signed between the 2 firms on the seventh version of the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) right here.
The concept behind the launch was to offer shoppers with wider beverage choices, a senior official of Coca-Cola India & Southwest Asia instructed PTI. The iced inexperienced tea will are available in lemon-tulsi and mango variants, he added.
According to Business Standard, Karthik Subramanian, director of promoting – hydration, espresso and tea class, Coca Cola India and Southwest Asia, in an announcement stated, “We are thrilled to introduce our new ready-to-drink iced green tea. With Honest Tea, we are offering consumers a unique experience of a great tasting green tea-based beverage.”
Rudra Chatterjee, managing director of Kolkata-based Luxmi Group, stated that there was no better tea property in Darjeeling than Makaibari. “It is the last word among teas, whether in Japan or England, royal houses.”
