New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday recommended the braveness and willpower of the rescuers engaged within the Silkyara tunnel operation. He acknowledged that they’ve breathed new life into the labourers who had been trapped within the tunnel for the previous 16 days. The Prime Minister emphasised that the mission has set a outstanding instance of humanity and teamwork.

PM Modi took to X and mentioned “The success of the rescue operation of our labourer brothers in Uttarkashi is making everyone emotional. I want to say to the friends who were trapped in the tunnel that your courage and patience is inspiring everyone. I wish you all well and good health.”

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, together with Union Minister of State General (Retd) VK Singh, met the rescued employees. Following 16 days of relentless efforts by rescuers, locals celebrated by distributing sweets outdoors the Silkyara tunnel because the trapped employees had been efficiently rescued.

The dedicated endeavours of the rescue teams have yielded favourable results,” Gadkari posted on X.

“The exact time of breakthrough was 7:05 pm. Uttarakhand CM, Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways and Civil Aviation Gen VK Singh are present there,” mentioned Harpal Singh, Project Head, Zoji-la Tunnel.
