New Delhi: Actor Janhvi Kapoor on Tuesday night time gave a shout-out to her sister Khushi Kapoor for her debut movie ‘The Archies’.
Taking to Instagram, Janhvi shared an image on her tales which she captioned, “The sunshine of my life and now sunshine in cinema. You are magical.” In the image, the ‘Bawaal’ actor might be seen hugging her sister inside a restaurant. In the following put up, she wrote, “You made mumma proud today”
On Tuesday, Janhvi attended the grand premiere of her sister Khushi’s debut movie ‘The Archies’ in Mumbai.
Apart from her a number of massive B-town celebs like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, and Farhan Akhtar amongst others attended the gala occasion.
Khushi attended the screening of her debut movie ‘The Archies’ in a golden robe that was worn by her mom and late actor Sridevi again in 2013.
Remembering her mom on this special occasion, Khushi selected to pay tribute to Sridevi within the iconic ensemble. Sridevi wore this robe with intricate crystals as a showstopper in 2013 on the IIFA purple carpet. Now, it took centre stage as soon as once more as Khushi stepped into the world of Bollywood.
Helmed by Zoya Akhtar, the movie marks the performing debut of Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda and Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan.
‘The Archies’, a coming-of-age musical, follows the lives of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel and Dilton who will take audiences to the fictional hilly city of Riverdale. The movie explores friendship, freedom love, heartbreak and insurrection.
The movie is all set to stream on the OTT platform Netflix from December 7.
