Remember The Viral ‘Frostbit Boy’? This Is What He Is Doing Now

Ruairi McSorley from Ireland gained recognition in 2015 after he spoke to a TV information crew on his method dwelling from college on a snowy day. His TV look quickly propelled him into viral fame, because of his odd accent. In the viral clip, Ruairi, who’s wearing his college uniform, complains about how he nonetheless has to go to highschool in dangerous climate. ‘Oh God it’s a determined, wild time within the snow alright,’ Ruairi tells the interviewer. On Friday, JaackMaate’s Happy Hour Podcast shared a clip from this episode on YouTube. Commenting on Ruairi’s appearance, a person wrote, “Genuinely one of the best guests you’ve had in awhile… funny, interesting and unique bloke.” Another wrote, “I’m from Belfast and I can nearly perceive him.”

In the podcast, Ruairi said that during his course, he was taught how to speak fast while hosting auctions. He explained that the auction host’s fast speech creates a sense of urgency amongst the buyers who are then prompted to bid more and more. He demonstrated how auctioneers speak rapidly as they present the objects and announce the bidding prices. The Irishman said that he practiced his speech by learning tongue twisters. During the show, he also showed how he would sell one of the host’s teeth if they were being auctioned.

In August 2021, Ruairi was in the news after he was rescued from the sea. Ruairi was staying at the seaside caravan park near the Inch beach when he decided to go for an impromptu swim without informing anyone. He then ended up spending 12 hours in the water as he was caught in the rough waters. Luckily he was rescued by the volunteers of the non-profit RNLI Lifeboat Station in a lifeboat. He was taken to hospital for hypothermia.
