The Mumbai Police busted a fake job racket after arresting a key accused and his aide from West Bengal for his or her alleged involvement in duping a whole lot of unemployed males by promising them jobs overseas.

An official on Wednesday stated the police recovered 482 passports of job aspirants throughout a search on the key accused’s residence, taking the variety of such journey paperwork seized to this point to 544.

The key accused, Patit Paban Punin Haldar (36), a resident of North 24 Parganas in West Bengal, and his aide Mohammed Illiyas Shaikh Mansoori (49), a local of Kamarhati had been arrested by the Mumbai police’s crime department. So far, the police arrested seven accused within the case.

The Crime Branch laid a entice in West Bengal after it acquired particular details about the fake job racket. The Crime Branch officers visited Bengal and arrested the duo recovering 482 passports of job aspirants from Haldar’s residence.

The accused individuals had opened workplaces within the title of a placement company at CSMT in South Mumbai and suburban Andheri and duped a whole lot of unemployed males by providing them jobs overseas, he stated.

They had issued fraudulent supply letters and bogus visas to the job aspirants and disappeared after amassing cash, leaving the victims within the lurch, stated the official.

The police launched an investigation and arrested the accused, seven to this point, after an offence was registered on the Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Marg Police Station.
