Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir police on Sunday introduced the apprehension of three hybrid terrorists allegedly related to an assault on an off-duty police officer. In a press briefing carried out on the Police Control Room in Srinagar, Director General of Police RR Swain acknowledged, “Three individuals identified as Imtiyaz Ahmed Khanday and Danish Ahmed Mala have been arrested in connection with the attack on a police constable in Bemina, Srinagar, on December 9.” According to Swain, a complete investigation revealed the involvement of those three suspects within the assault on the police constable whereas he was en path to his residence.
The DGP stated “ All of them had been working on the behest of Pakistan-based handler Hamza-Burhan, who initially belong Pulwama. He additional acknowledged that “Danish Malla was the mastermind, who hatched a conspiracy to attack police constable Muhammad Hafiz Chak, on December 9.” Adding to that Swain stated, “Six bullets had been fired policeman that day, three hit him and one hit his backbone that was eliminated by the docs and the injured constable is steady.”
During the trio’s interrogation, the recovered weapons of offense included a Canik TP9, a Turkish-made pistol, together with one journal and one 9mm spherical discovered within the possession of Imtiyaz Ahmed Khanday. Mehnan Khan was discovered with a second Canik TP9, one other Turkish-made pistol, accompanied by one journal and 7 rounds. Additionally, Danish was in possession of 57 9mm rounds and two magazines,” acknowledged the Director General of Police. He added that every one three terrorists had been affiliated with Lashkar-e-Toiba/TRF.

About the killing of inspector Masroor Ahmed Wani who was attacked whereas taking part in cricket at Eidgah and later succumbed to accidents, Swain stated the case is being investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) now.
