Pune Metro’s Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi & Civil Court to Swargate face delays; commuters categorical frustration. Launch dates pushed to 2023.
The much-anticipated Pune Metro stretches from Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi and Civil Court to Swargate are going through delays, leaving commuters in suspense.
Initially anticipated to open by November-December, Maha Metro officers now trace at inaugurations in January and March.
The delay has left commuters in limbo, significantly these in Pune metropolis and Pimpri-Chinchwad who awaited these stretches’ comfort.
The 5.5-km Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi stretch, essential for these navigating the Nagar Road space, is nearing completion. While three out of 4 stations are anticipated to be operational quickly, Yerawada station faces a further month earlier than it’s prepared.
Maha Metro’s Managing Director, Shravan Hardikar, talked about to The Indian Express, “The rail safety inspection by the end of this month will pave the way for potential inauguration, subject to political decisions.”
Simultaneously, the three.7 km Shivajinagar Civil Court to Swargate stretch, important for Pimpri-Chinchwad residents, stays unfinished. The delay means an extended look ahead to faster entry to Swargate, decreasing a two-hour street journey to a mere 50 minutes by Metro.
Rutuja Marale, a every day commuter, expressed disappointment, hoping for operations by November, whereas Pravin Borhade lamented the extended street journeys due to site visitors snarls.
Metro officers assured the completion of trial runs for the Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi stretch, testing varied departments’ functionalities for operational readiness. Despite profitable trials, the look ahead to commuters continues, amplifying their reliance on various transport.
