Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who the Enforcement Directorate is questioning in an alleged land rip-off, had filed a police complaint against probe officials. According to sources, FIR has not been registered but solely a complaint has been lodged for harassing the chief minister.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is now questioning Hemant Soren in a money-laundering case linked to an alleged land rip-off. His assertion is being recorded beneath the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
The probe pertains to the ED alleging {that a} “huge racket of illegal change of ownership of land by mafia was going on in Jharkhand”.
The company has arrested 14 folks within the case, together with 2011-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Chhavi Ranjan who had earlier served because the director of the state social welfare division and deputy commissioner of Ranchi.
The 48-year-old Jharkhand Mukti Morcha chief was questioned by the ED in November final yr in one other money-laundering case linked to alleged unlawful mining within the state.
