England’s hunt for a report 399 commenced on a robust notice when the 2 openers – Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley started the fourth innings in their typical Bazball approach on Day 3 of the second Test. While being cautious towards Jasprit Bumrah, the 2 openers took the assault to the opposite Indian bowlers. But when the hosts have been in massive want of a wicket, Ravichandran Ashwin put his hand up with some stunning effort from wicket-keeper KS Bharat.
England cruised their approach to 50 and have been wanting to keep unhindered by the tip of the day. But Ashwin inflicted a serious blow to these hopes. The Indian veteran Ashwin, who’s inches away from 500 Test wickets, eliminated Ben Duckett. The off-spinner bowled angled one throughout the left-hander from around the wicket. He obtained the ball bouncing a bit extra to hit the sting of his bat after which lobbed up after hitting the pad. Bharat charged from his spot behind the stumps, ran slightly and made a superb dive to full the catch.
The Indian camp was relieved with the wicket. Indian captain Rohit Sharma was additionally in ecstasy because the gamers celebrated the much-needed wicket.
