A 14-year-old girl was allegedly killed in Haryana’s Gurugram by her neighbour who slit her throat and hid the body in his home, the police stated on Monday (February 5). According to the preliminary investigation, the accused who’s the next-door neighbour of the household killed the minor girl to take revenge of his enmity with them, they added. The sufferer resided with her household in a one-room rented lodging in a constructing in Indira Colony, Silokhra village in Gurugram.
The constructing has a number of such rooms and some frequent washrooms, the police stated.
How did the incident happen?
The incident occurred at round 9 pm on Sunday when the girl’s mom despatched her to one of the frequent washrooms to fetch a cleaning soap. The members of the family began searching for her after she didn’t return for a very long time, they stated.
Her father Gyani Thapa noticed the accused Bahadur standing exterior his room and requested him if he noticed his daughter, to which he replied that she had gone out to purchase meals, they added.
However, Thapa received suspicious and requested Bahadur to open his room however he didn’t permit.
He then forcibly opened the door and located his daughter’s blood-soaked body wrapped in a blanket in the room, the police stated.
Bahadur instantly fled the spot and continues to be absconding, they stated.
Police conduct investigation
On being knowledgeable, a police staff reached the spot and took the body in custody, the officers stated.
The accused allegedly slit the girl’s throat with a pointy weapon earlier than hiding her body, they stated.
Based on a grievance by the deceased’s father, an FIR was registered in opposition to Bahadur below Section 302 (homicide) of the Indian Penal Code on the Sector 40 police station right here on Monday, they added.
In his grievance, Thapa stated he hailed from Nepal and has been residing as a tenant with household in Indira Colony since 2019.
