The farmers, who’ve been agitating at Delhi borders for the previous 4 months, burnt the copies of the farm legal guidelines as a part of the ‘Holika Dahan’ celebrations on Sunday and mentioned that the federal government should repeal these legal guidelines and make a law on Minimum Support Price (MSP).

The farmers mentioned that they won’t play Holi with colors and reasonably use soil to have a good time the pageant including that if the farm legal guidelines aren’t withdrawn then they’ll have a good time Diwali additionally on the borders of Delhi.

They had additionally invited the police personnel from Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, deployed on the borders, to hitch the Holi celebrations.

“We will celebrate Holi with the Delhi and UP Police personnel deployed at the border. We will make the necessary arrangements for them and communicate to them asking them to celebrate Holi together,” Tikait advised IANS.

He mentioned, “Whenever there are festivals celebrated on the India-Pakistan border, there are pleasantries exchanged on the border, so why cannot or not it’s achieved right here on the Ghazipur border? If pleasantries aren’t exchanged, then it can imply that Ghazipur border is extra harmful than Pakistan border.

“If all the security forces and police officials do not exchange Holi pleasantries with them, then we (farmers) will think that the Central government does not want to talk to us. The Delhi Police will be given an invitation to join us for Holi celebrations as they, too, are on police duty away from their homes.”
