STOCKHOLM: Former Denmark striker Jon Dahl Tomasson was employed as the primary foreign-born coach of Sweden on Monday.
The 47-year-old Tomasson, who just lately left his position as supervisor of second-tier English staff Blackburn, will start his new job on Friday. He is changing Janne Andersson, whose seven-year spell in control of Sweden led to November after the staff did not qualify for the European Championship.
Tomasson performed 110 video games for Denmark, scoring 52 objectives. He performed for storied Italian membership AC Milan in addition to Heerenveen, Newcastle, Feyenoord, Stuttgart and Villarreal.
