At least two individuals have been killed in a train accident in Jharkhand’s Jamtara on Tuesday. The incident came about on the Howrah-Delhi essential railway line. According to a railway official, the deceased weren’t passengers of any train however had been crossing the railway tracjks once they had been run over by an area train.
Kaushik Mitra, CPRO, Eastern Railway stated, “Two individuals strolling on the monitor had been run over by the train not less than 2 km away from train no. 12254 passing from Vidyasagar Kasitar. Anant Kumar, SDM Jamtara stated, “Two bodies have been recovered. We’ve requested Railways to start a helpline number. The reason will be known after investigation.”
