“There was a minor fire incident in medicine ward 11 (HDU) in Safdarjung Hospital on Wednesday probably due to high voltage fluctuation and short circuit. All the patients admitted in HDU and the ward was evacuated immediately to other wards by our nursing staff and security personnel.

“There was no lack of life. The hearth was managed instantly by our hospital hearth security group. Regular hearth drills within the hospital with cooperation from Fire Department helped in managing the state of affairs in time,” the spokesperson of the hospital mentioned.

A senior police officer additionally said that prima facie, it seems that the hearth broke out due to a brief circuit that was introduced beneath management in time by the hospital workers.
