A listening to in a defamation case towards Congress chief Rahul Gandhi in a particular court in Sultanpur on Friday was postponed to April 2 due to a strike by attorneys.
BJP chief Vijay Mishra filed a defamation grievance towards Gandhi for his alleged objectionable remarks towards Home Minister Amit Shah.
The plaintiff’s advocate, Santosh Pandey, mentioned the listening to in the case was scheduled for Friday, but it surely was deferred to April 2 as attorneys abstained from court proceedings due to a strike over their varied calls for.
He was granted bail by Judge Yogesh Yadav after filling bail bonds, his counsel Kashi Prasad Shukla advised reporters. Mishra filed the case on August 4, 2018 for Gandhi’s alleged objectionable feedback towards Shah at a press convention in Bengaluru on May 8, 2018 in the course of the Karnataka elections.
Gandhi was summoned by the court forward of his ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra”s entry into Amethi, his former Lok Sabha constituency.
