Kejriwal arrested: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was introduced in the court after his arrest on Thursday in the Delhi liquor policy scam case, in his first reaction mentioned that his life is devoted to the nation even when he is behind the bars, alive or lifeless.

The Enforcement Directorate in its argument in the court accused Kejriwal because the ‘kingpin’ of the Delhi liquor policy including that income from the excise policy had been used for Punjab and Goa Assembly elections.

The Enforcement Directorate earlier as we speak produced Arvind Kejriwal earlier than the Rouse Avenue court and sought his 10-day custody in the excise policy-linked cash laundering case.

“We have given an application for 10 days’ remand,” the ED advised the court after the AAP chief was produced earlier than Special Judge Kaveri Baweja round 2 pm amid tight safety on and across the court premises.

ASG S V Raju is showing for the company, whereas Senior Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi is representing Kejriwal.

Kejriwal was produced in the trial court shortly after he withdrew from the Supreme Court his plea in opposition to arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in the excise policy-linked cash laundering case.

Kejriwal’s counsel mentioned he would contest the remand proceedings earlier than the trial court after which come again to the apex court with one other petition.
