DURHAM, N.H.: Cornell ahead Izzy Daniel is the winner of the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award as the highest participant in ladies’s NCAA Division I ice hockey.
The award was introduced Saturday as a part of the NCAA Women’s Frozen Four.
Daniel, of Minneapolis, is the primary Cornell participant to win the dignity, which is offered yearly by the USA Hockey Foundation. The senior had 21 objectives and 38 assists in main the Big Red to a 25-8-1 file and an NCAA Regional Final look. Off the ice, she is pursuing a level in industrial and labor relations and elevating consciousness for psychological well being initiatives.
Wisconsin forwards Casey O’Brien of Milton, Massachusetts, and Kirsten Simms of Plymouth, Michigan, have been the opposite finalists for the award. It’s chosen by a 13-particular person committee of NCAA Division I ladies’s ice hockey coaches, media members and USA Hockey representatives.
