New Delhi / Mandi: Continuing its assault on Supriya Shrinate, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday warned that it’s going to take authorized motion in opposition to the Congress chief for her “objectionable post” regarding Kangana Ranaut, the saffron social gathering’s candidate from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi Lok Sabha constituency.

Former Himachal Pradesh chief minister and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Jairam Thakur condemned the alleged actions of Shrinate, asserting that the Congress social gathering would face penalties for what he described as ‘insulting ladies”. Thakur emphasised the BJP’s dedication to taking authorized measures in response to the incident. “…BJP is working towards taking legal action in this matter. It has become the Congress’ habit to insult women- ‘Matru Shakti’. The whole of Mandi and Himachal Pradesh is angry. Congress will have to pay for this,” Thakur was quoted as saying by ANI.

 

 

Shrinate’s Clarification Amid BJP’s Attack

Shrinate has refuted the accusations, clarifying that her social media accounts had been compromised, resulting in the dissemination of the contentious publish. She asserted that the publish in query originated from a parody account and has reported the matter to related authorities.

BJP’s All-Out Condemnation

BJP’s Shazia Ilmi and the National Commission for Women (NCW) have demanded accountability from the Congress management concerning Shrinate’s conduct. Ilmi criticized the silence of Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi on the matter, highlighting the necessity for decisive motion. 

NCW Seels Action Against Shrinate 

Meanwhile, the NCW has registered a grievance in opposition to Shrinate with the Election Commissioner, denouncing her actions as disrespectful in direction of ladies. Shrinate has defended herself, asserting that her accounts had been compromised, resulting in the dissemination of objectionable content material. She emphasised her dedication to respectful discourse and distanced herself from derogatory remarks.
