New Delhi: In a major relief to prospects, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has introduced that account holders who’ve accounts in Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) and United Bank of India (UNI) can proceed to use previous cheque book till June 30 2021 because the financial institution has prolonged the validity of cheque book till the mentioned date. In impact, their previous cheque book will turn into invalid from 1 July.Â
Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank of India have been merged with Punjab National Bank, that means that the checkbooks, passbooks, IFSC codes of those banks can have to be modified by a deadline fastened by the financial institution. PNB has mentioned that e-OBC / e-UNI prospects can take new PNB Check Book via the department, Internet Banking Service, Mobile Banking Service and ATM. PNB has acknowledged that the already issued test book of Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank of India (Post Dated Check Book) can be valid solely till June 30, 2021.

PNB had beforehand issued a brand new IFSC code and MICR for the account holders of each these banks. However, if a buyer has not but obtained this data, then he can have to give details about it by SMS to the financial institution.
Customers can ship SMS to 9264092640 by writing UPGR <Space> <final 4 digits of account quantity> from their registered cell quantity. PNB will also be contacted on toll free numbers 1800-180-2222 and 1800-103-2222. The account holder can even register his criticism by emailing care@pnb.co.in.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had in August 2019 introduced that PNB, Oriental Bank and United Bank can be merged to turn into the second largest PSU Bank in India with enterprise of Rs 17.95 lakh crore (1.5 instances that of PNB).
