CSKA introduced the abrupt termination Thursday with one 12 months remaining on it, saying it retains his KHL rights and “the club thanks Ivan Fedotov and wishes him good luck in further career.”
Messages despatched to Fedotov’s agent and Flyers common supervisor Danny Briere searching for remark weren’t instantly returned.
Fedotov, 27, is below contract with the Flyers this season after his preliminary deal, signed in May 2022, was tolled. He tried to come back to North America in July 2022, however as a substitute was taken by authorities to a distant army base within the Arctic Circle for a 12 months of service.
Last summer time, after finishing that service, Fedotov signed a two-year contract with CSKA. He performed for the group this previous season, showing in 49 video games via March 8, when it was eradicated within the first spherical of the KHL’s Gagarin Cup playoffs.
