Didi’s frustration grew after first phase of polls: PM Modi on Mamata’s letter to opposition leaders

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (April 1) targetted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee syaing that her frustation has grown after the fisrt phase of the continuing meeting polls.

That is why she has reached out to different opposition leaders for help, Modi mentioned.

“Didi’s (Banerjee) frustration has grown after the first phase of polling. She wrote a letter to many leaders of the country for help. Didi is seeking support from those whom she considers as outsiders and tourists and didn’t give time for a meeting,” PM mentioned addressing a rally in West Bengal’s Jaynagar.

PM Modi additionally hit out at Banerjee over her social gathering’s criticism to the Election Commission searching for motion in opposition to him for visiting Jeshoreshwari temple in Bangladesh. Modi requested if visiting a temple was incorrect.

“Some days ago, I visited Bangladesh where I offered prayers at Jeshoreshwari temple. Didi objected to it. In Orakandi, I sought blessing for the country during my visit to the sacred land of Harichand Thakur and Guruchand Thakur. She got very angry. Is visiting a temple wrong?” requested Modi.

On his two-day go to to Bangladesh, the prime minister hung out with the household of Harichand Thakur, founder of the Matua group. The Matua group of Bangladesh is a Scheduled Caste group with a presence in no less than six parliamentary seats of West Bengal.

PM Modi additional accused Banerjee of harbouring hostility in direction of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogan and having issues with immersion of Durga idols.

“Mamata didi has a problem with slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’. She also had a problem with immersion of Durga idols, people of Bengal know this. Now Didi has a problem with ’tilak’ and saffron clothes too. Didi’s people are now calling people with ‘chotis’ as ‘rakshas’,” mentioned Modi.

The prime minister asserted that there’s a BJP wave within the state and that the social gathering will win greater than 200 seats within the ongoing elections.
