An enormous explosion occurred in a personal farmhouse at Ansolem village in North Goa late Monday night. According to the police, no casualty was reported however several houses close to the farmhouse developed cracks as a result of blast. Valpoi Police detained one individual in reference to the explosion.
The police official mentioned, “The blast was reported in a private farmhouse located at Ansolem village of Bhironda village panchayat around 10 pm. A godown which was stocked with explosives was completely destroyed in the blast.”
Police mentioned they’re investigating how such an enormous amount of explosive was procured. Initial experiences point out that gelatin explosives have been getting used in stone crusher crops situated in the encircling areas, they mentioned.
“We are interrogating one person whose identity is yet to be revealed,” a police officer mentioned.
Police mentioned a radical inquiry can be carried out on Tuesday. The complete space has been sealed and a forensic staff can be known as for the investigation, they mentioned.
Local MLA Deviya Rane, in a publish on ‘X’, mentioned that an FIR can be filed in opposition to the culprits concerned in the blast.
“This is to inform the people that we have received reports of a blast at Ansolem in Bhironda Panchayat, no casualties reported at the site,” Rane mentioned.
“An FIR will be filed under the Explosives Substance Act, and a thorough investigation is underway. Stringent action will be taken once the investigation is concluded,” she added.
