A complete of three candidates withdrew their nominations on Monday, the final day of withdrawal for the second section of Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, in line with an official assertion issued right here.
After the final date of withdrawal of nominations in eight Lok Sabha constituencies of the second section, a complete of 91 candidates are in the fray, it mentioned.
UP (*91*) Electoral Officer (CEO) Navedep Rinwa mentioned the nomination for the second section began on March 28 and on Monday, which was the final date of withdrawal, three candidates together with one from Meerut and two from Aligarh withdrew their nominations.
He mentioned impartial candidate Mohd Afzal from Meerut Lok Sabha constituency, Mukesh Kumar of Rashtriya Jan Sanchar Dal and impartial candidate Bhupendra Pal Singh from Aligarh withdrew their names.
