Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud on Saturday (April 20) highlighted that the enactment of the brand new legal legal guidelines is an indicator that “India is changing” and is “on the move”. He confused that their enactment have “transitioned India’s legal framework on criminal justice into the new age”. The CJI was referring to Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023; the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023; and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023, which is able to exchange the sooner legal legal guidelines, specifically, the Indian Penal Code 1860, the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 and the Indian Evidence Act, 1872.
