AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal on Wednesday stated he’ll move the Supreme Court against the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Assam authorities’s resolution to shut the state-run madrassas. I’ll take the difficulty to the Supreme Court, he added.
Dhubri MP stated he hopes that the apex court docket will order the reopening of all closed madrasas within the state.
Ajmal, whereas talking to reporters on the sidelines of an election marketing campaign assembly in Guwahati, stated “UP government announced the closure of madrasas and later, the Supreme Court condemned them. With this reference, we will go to the Supreme Court and will get the order from there.”
Earlier in April 2021, all of the 610 state-run madrassas below the Madrassa Board had been transformed into higher major, excessive and better secondary colleges with no change of standing, pay, allowances and repair situations of instructing and non-teaching workers.
In December 2020, The Assam Madrassa Education (Provincialisation) Act, 1995 and The Assam Madrassa Education (Provincialisation of Services of Employees and Re-Organisation of Madrassa Educational Institutions) Act, 2018 had been repealed.
This move of the primary BJP-led Assam authorities paved the best way for all state-funded madrassas to shut down and remodel them into normal colleges.
