The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday took notice of alleged Model Code of Conduct (MCC) violations by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress chief Rahul Gandhi. The ballot panel sought the replies from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress by 11 am on April 29.
The ECI invoked part 77 of the Representation of the People Act and held get together presidents accountable, as a primary step, to reign in star campaigners.
