Ghaziabad: Five folks have been killed and two injured when a fireplace broke out in a residential constructing right here, police mentioned on Thursday.
It is suspected {that a} brief circuit prompted the hearth.
Information was acquired concerning the hearth within the constructing in Behta Hajipur beneath the Loni Border police station space on the intervening night time of Wednesday and Thursday. Police personnel and firefighters rushed to the spot and rescued a girl and a toddler from the constructing, Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ankur Vihar Bhaskar Verma instructed PTI.

Additional Police Commissioner, Ghaziabad Dinesh Kumar P mentioned the hearth began on the bottom ground of the constructing and shortly unfold to the primary and second flooring, trapping the residents.

Police mentioned the deceased have been recognized as Saiful Rehman (35), his spouse Nazira (32), daughter Isra (7), Faiz (7-month-old) and Farheen alias Parveen (25).
The injured, Arsh (10) and Uzma (25), have been admitted to GTB Hospital in Delhi. Arsh was later discharged, they mentioned.
