‘Allow vaccination for all above 25 years’: Uddhav writes to PM Modi

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Monday wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting him to enable vaccination for all above the age of 25 years. Uddhav additionally thanked Modi for accepting his proposal of permitting all individuals above 45 years of age to be made eligible for COVID vaccination, the chief minister’s workplace stated in a press release. 

Earlier on Sunday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray determined in opposition to imposing an entire lockdown within the state. However, a weekend lockdown was ordered to test the spike in coronavirus instances.

Night curfew and different strict curbs are in place within the state. Only important companies are allowed on Saturdays and Sundays. Meanwhile, eating places are permitted to function solely for take-away and parcel companies. Office workers could have to work at home.
