Deshmukh resigned as Maharashtra’s dwelling minister on Monday after the HC directed the CBI to conduct a preliminary inquiry
The Maharashtra authorities will transfer the Supreme Court in opposition to the Bombay High Court’s order for a preliminary probe by the CBI into allegations of corruption in opposition to NCP chief Anil Deshmukh, state Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil mentioned on Tuesday.
Deshmukh resigned as Maharashtra”s dwelling minister on Monday after the HC directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to conduct a preliminary inquiry inside 15 days into the allegations leveled in opposition to him by former Mumbai police chief Param Bir Singh.
Later, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari handed over the cost of the important thing division to a cupboard minister and NCP chief Dilip Walse Patil.
Talking to reporters on Tuesday, Walse Patil mentioned the state authorities will present all help to the CBI for its probe into the matter.
“The government will challenge the high court’s order in the Supreme Court,” he mentioned.
On March 25, Singh filed prison public curiosity litigation looking for a CBI probe in opposition to Deshmukh who, he claimed, had requested law enforcement officials, together with suspended cop Sachin Waze, to extort Rs 100 crore from bars and eating places. Deshmukh has denied any wrongdoing.
