Bengaluru: Employees of Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) and North Eastern Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NEKRTC) have declared a strike ranging from April seventh 2021 underneath the banner of Karnataka State Road Transport Employees League.
The staff of the state run transportation are protesting towards the governments failure to implement a wage underneath the sixth Pay Commission.

Aside from which, KSRTC staff are demanding for wage hike, everlasting job, wages and shifts. These staff are working as contract staff within the division.
“Transport employees have given a call to go on strike from Wednesday, the chief minister held a discussion in this regard, we are requesting employees not to go on strike keeping COVID-19 situation in mind. They had nine demands, eight of them have been fulfilled and implemented,” chief secretary P Ravi Kumar mentioned, reported information company PTI.
