New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday (April 19, 2021) permitted an advance cost of Rs 4,567.50 crores to each Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech.
The Finance Ministry has permitted Rs 3,000 crores for Serum Institute of India and Rs 1567.50 crores for Bharat Biotech. As per stories, the cost will likely be launched on the earliest.
Earlier, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman mentioned that she had mentioned COVID-19 administration within the nation with varied trade chambers the issues of India Inc. She additional, mentioned that the Centre would proceed to work with state governments to save lives and livelihood amid the pandemic.

The determination by the ministry comes days after SII CEO Adar Poonawalla requested the federal government for Rs 3,000 crore grant for ramping up capability of the COVID-19 vaccine past 100 million doses a month.
The Pune-based vaccine maker hoped to enhance its manufacturing capability by the month of June, 2021.
