Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will expand his Cabinet on Tuesday. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shahnawaz Hussain, who was last month sworn-in as member of the state legislative council, is all set to be inducted as a minister.
According to reports, eight members from the BJP and nine from the Janata Dal (United) will be administered the oath by Bihar Governor Phagu Chauhan at the Raj Bhavan tomorrow afternoon.

The Bihar Cabinet, which currently has 14 members, can have up to 36 members as per the norms.
This will be the first Cabinet expansion of Nitish Kumar-led NDA, which has four constituents including the BJP, JD (U), Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Vikassheel Insaan Party.

Nitish Kumar, who is presently in his fourth term in office, had earlier in 2017 formed the government with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) but later resigned due to differences with Tejashwi Yadav.
