Woman thrashed to death in Assam.

A 53-year-old girl was killed and her body buried in a forest in a suspected case of “witch-hunting” in Sonitpur district of Assam, officers mentioned on Sunday.

According to senior officers, the grotesque incident befell at Geruajuli village in the Rangapara police station space on Saturday evening.

The girl, a widow, lived alone together with her 4 youngsters.

Around 11:00 pm, some individuals barged into her home and killed her with bludgeons and sticks, police mentioned.

Then they took the body to a close-by forest, buried it and fled from the scene, officers mentioned.
