Never asked for COVID facilities in five star hotel for judges: Delhi High Court

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Tuesday mentioned it has not made any request for creating COVID-19 facilities for its judges, employees and their households in a five-star hotel.

Taking suo motu cognisance of the information studies which mentioned that 100 rooms of Ashoka Hotel in nationwide capital have been transformed right into a COVID well being facility for judges of Delhi High Court on its request, a bench of Justices Vipin Sanghi and Rekha Palli mentioned, “No communication has been made to anyone in this regard”.

“We have not made any such request for taking over facilities of a five-star hotel,” the bench mentioned and directed the Delhi authorities to “take corrective steps immediately”.

In an order issued by the sub-divisional Justice of the Peace of Chanakyapuri on April 25, it was said that the COVID facility at Ashoka Hotel can be related to Primus Hospital.

The order additionally mentioned that the ability was being arrange on the request of the Delhi High Court.

Terming the order as “wrong”, the bench mentioned the picture being projected on account of it was that the Delhi High Court judges have taken it for their profit or that the Delhi authorities has executed it to appease the courtroom.
