As per revised pitch and outfield monitoring laws, one demerit level shall be awarded to venues whose pitches are rated by the match referees as “below average”, whereas three and 5 demerit factors shall be awarded to venues whose pitches are marked as “poor” and “unfit”, respectively.

Demerit factors will stay lively for a rolling five-year interval.
