Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has mentioned that vaccination for 18-44 age group won’t start from May 1.

The ongoing vaccination of individuals in the above-45 category will proceed, he added.

‘On contacting the producers of Covishield and Covaxin vaccines we discovered that they’re unable to present us doses for these above 18 years of age on May 1. ‘So the drive protecting the younger individuals won’t start on May 1,’ Chouhan mentioned in a video message at night time.

‘Hopefully, we shall be getting vaccine doses round May 3. After that we’ll give the ultimate form to the drive for the younger individuals,’ he added.

‘Keep endurance and there’s no must panic,’ the chief minister added.

The state authorities has already positioned orders with Covishield maker Serum Institute of India and Covaxin maker Bharat Biotech, he mentioned.
