Panaji: The Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) on Thursday cancelled all permissions granted for movie and tv serial shootings within the state within the wake of the raging COVID-19 pandemic.
ESG is the Goa authorities’s nodal company which is empowered to present permission for industrial shootings within the coastal state.

Several movie and TV serial makers from Mumbai and Chennai lately shifted their shootings to Goa within the wake of the surge in COVID-19 circumstances of their respective locations, ESG’s Vice Chairman Subhash Faldesai informed PTI.
He mentioned all permissions granted for movie shootings in Goa have now been cancelled until the COVID-19 state of affairs within the state comes beneath management.
“We will not allow any shooting of films or television serials in public or private properties,” he mentioned.

Faldesai mentioned the state authorities has enforced strict curbs, together with imposition of Section 144 of CrPC, which bans meeting of 5 or extra folks at one place, attributable to which shootings can’t be permitted.
