Over 16.48 Crore COVID vaccine doses administered so far: Health Ministry.

 

 

 

The cumulative variety of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered within the nation has crossed 16.48 crore, the well being ministry stated on Thursday.

It stated 2,62,932 beneficiaries within the 18-44 age group obtained the primary dose of the vaccine throughout 12 states and Union territories on Thursday. A complete of 11,64,076 individuals within the age group have obtained the primary dose of the vaccine so far.

 
A complete of 16,48,76,248 vaccine doses have been administered within the nation and the beneficiaries are 95,00,564 healthcare employees (HCWs) who’ve taken the primary dose, 63,91,562 HCWs who’ve obtained the second dose, 1,37,58,487 frontline employees (FLWs) who’ve taken the primary dose, 75,36,320 FLWs who’ve obtained the second dose and the 11,64,076 within the 18-44 age group who’ve taken the primary dose.

Besides, 5,42,89,107 and 53,44,986 beneficiaries within the 45-60 age group have taken the primary and the second dose respectively, whereas the corresponding figures for these above 60 years of age are 5,33,18,278  and 1,35,72,868.

On the 111th day (May 6) of the vaccination drive, a complete of twenty-two,98,530 vaccine doses got — 10,24,548 beneficiaries obtained the primary dose and 12,73,982 took the second dose — in line with a provisional report, the ministry stated, including that the ultimate report for the day could be compiled by late evening.

The vaccination train as a device to guard essentially the most weak inhabitants teams within the nation from COVID-19 continues to be often reviewed and monitored on the highest degree, it stated.
