Chennai: Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) Chief MK Stalin took oath because the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on Friday for the primary time as DMK took cost of the state after 10 years. His swearing-in ceremony was held at Raj Bhavan in Chennai. Governor Banwarilal Purohit administered the oath of workplace and secrecy to Stalin and his Cabinet ministers.
Stalin shall maintain Home and different portfolios together with public, basic administration, all India companies, district income officers, particular programme implementation and welfare of differently-abled individuals, a Raj Bhavan launch stated.
Stalin has modified some names of the division that are:
- A separate ministry known as ‘Water Resources Department’ is being set as much as meet the water wants of Tamil Nadu.
- The Department of Agriculture has been renamed as Agriculture – Agrarian Welfare Department” as it’s the Government’s goal to safeguard the pursuits of farmers.
- The Department of (*10*) is renamed the ‘(*10*) – Climate Change Department’ to lift consciousness concerning the environmental results of local weather change.
Along with Stalin, 33 ministers had been sworn in by the governor of Tamil Nadu.
The ceremony, which was being held on the backdrop of the continued COVID-19 wave within the state/ nation, was attended by AIADMK chief O Panneerselvam, Â Congress’s P Chidambaram, MDMK chief Vaiko in addition to others from the alliance.
