The Delhi Police has issued a nonbailable warrant against activist Nikita Jacob and Shantanu in the Great Thunberg Toolkit case. The Delhi Police has informed that they are involved in the toolkit matter.
Advocate Nikita Jacob has moved Bombay high court for interim protection against the police action. Her lawyer sought an urgent circulation and the HC kept it for hearing tomorrow.
According to a report by ANI, Four days ago Special Cell team went to Nikita Jacob’s house. Her electronic gadgets were examined. Delhi police said that they would visit again to question her but she is not available.
According to ANI, Mo Dhaliwal, Poetic Justice Foundation founder, contacted Nikita Jacob via his colleague Puneet who lives in Canada. The motive was to create a Twitter storm ahead of Republic Day. There was a zoom meeting before Republic Day that was attended by Mo Dhaliwal, Nikita, Disha & others.
Delhi Police is also investigating that whether Disha, Nikita, and others were also involved in the fake news controversy of the farmers’ death during the Republic Day violence. A fake news went viral on Twitter that a young farmer died during the rally as Delhi police shot him but after the post mortem report it was clarified that he succummbed to injuries which were caused after his tractor overturned.
Nikita Jacob’s legal statement
According to the legal team of Nikita Jacob, Delhi Police recorded her statement on 10th February, and the claims made by Delhi Police that she didn’t cooperate with the police is wrong.
“Delhi Police conducted a Punchnama. We will produce all evidence in the court”, the legal team of Nikita Jacob.

This comes in the backdrop of Disha Ravi, a climate activist”s arrest in the same matter who has been sent for a 5 days judicial custody. Delhi Police revealed that Disha Ravi is an Editor of the Toolkit Google Doc and a key conspirator in document’s formulation and dissemination.
Delhi Police said, “She started a WhatsApp Group and collaborated to make the Toolkit doc. She worked closely with them to draft the document”.
Who Is Nikita Jacob?
According to her website, Nikita Jacob says she is litigating lawyer who advises her clients to try settling civil disputes. Her Twitter handle that is locked has “Advocate, Bombay High Court” mentioned in her bio.
She is a volunteer taking up Social Justice & Environment Protection matters. She writes about herself on her website that she likes to stand up for what’s right but unintentionally end up being the wrong-doer. She has also written she can be ‘can be influenced & influence easily’.
Nikita mentions that she is an aspiring writer and a wanna-be singer & voice artist. She is an amateur photographer and cook.
She further writes,’ I don’t like to discriminate amongst “classes”; I can communicate and connect easily with people of any age and background’.
Nikita says that she is a critical thinker who likes to analyse hard facts & data based on both sound logic and emotion
Nikita is a born catholic and lives in Mumbai. Delhi Police mentioned her and Shantanu during a press conference on Sunday while giving the details about Disha Ravi.
