New Delhi: With a number of states going through vaccine scarcity amid the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech have submitted their manufacturing plan for the subsequent 4 months to Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led authorities and knowledgeable they will increase it as much as 10 crore and 7.8 crore doses respectively by August.

Official sources near this growth on Wednesday stated the Union Health Ministry and the Drugs Controller General of India had sought from each Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech and Pune-based Serum Institute of India their manufacturing plan for the subsequent 4 months starting June.

Official sources stated Serum Institute of India, Government and Regulatory Affairs Director, Prakash Kumar Singh, has additionally assured the federal government that manufacturing of Covishield could be ramped as much as 10 crore doses every in August and can be maintained at that degree in September.
