Hero MotoCorp plans to restart plant operations in a staggered method from May 17 after vaccinating 90 per cent of workers above the age of 45 years. “The company is gearing up towards a gradual resumption of operations by starting single shift production at three of its plants — Gurugram and Dharuhera in Haryana and at Haridwar in Uttarakhand — from Monday May 17,” it mentioned in a press release. “Strict safety and hygiene protocols are in place at all plant locations and offices in preparation for the gradual resumption of operations,” it mentioned.
The firm mentioned the three crops will more and more concentrate on producing for export markets in addition to catering to home necessities.
The remaining manufacturing crops and different amenities may even open up steadily. The world’s largest producer of bikes and scooters mentioned that it continues to observe the state of affairs carefully.
Last month, Hero MotoCorp had mentioned it is going to shut down its crops, halting manufacturing actions from April 22 to May 2. It later prolonged the shutdown to May 16.
Meanwhile, the corporate mentioned that greater than 90 per cent of workers above the age of 45 years have already been vaccinated underneath its ongoing company vaccination drive. All company places of work of the corporate have already been in work-from-home mode.
